Many people that come into my office have spent years being the one that holds things together.

They care deeply about their responsibilities and the people around them. Over time, that level of responsibility can start to feel exhausting.

You might notice it as difficulty relaxing, feeling stuck in the same patterns, or questioning your decisions more than you used to.

Using EMDR and mind–body approaches, we work to understand those patterns and build the clarity, self-trust, and boundaries needed to move forward with confidence.

about me

Therapy isn’t about rejecting your values...it’s about learning how to include yourself in them.

I’m Sana Patel, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor licensed in California. I’ve always been a careful observer of people and the patterns that shape how we think, respond, and relate to one another. That curiosity eventually became the foundation of my work as a therapist.

My Approach

My approach combines EMDR with mind–body work to help clients understand the deeper patterns behind burnout, over-responsibility, and feeling stuck in the same cycles. I’m especially interested in how family history, cultural values, and generational experiences shape the way we navigate responsibility, productivity, and self-trust.

A Safe and Supportive Space

Therapy is a place where you can exhale and be fully yourself.
It’s a space where your story is taken seriously and your experiences are understood within the context of your life, your history, and the systems that shaped them.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your lived experiences. Rather than offering quick fixes, we take time to understand the patterns that brought you here and experiment with ways to respond differently.

The goal is lasting change — helping you feel more present, more confident in your decisions, and clearer about what comes next.
